This privacy policy describes how ClipMate ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our application.

Information We Collect

ClipMate is designed with privacy as a core principle. The desktop app keeps regular clipboard history on your device. If you use Smart Paste, the selected clipboard text or image and your prompt are sent to our server-side AI endpoint to generate the requested result.

If you choose to create an account for ClipMate Pro, we collect your email address to manage your subscription and provide access to Pro features.

Local Data Storage

Regular clipboard history is stored locally on your device in memory or local storage. Smart Paste only processes the clipboard item and prompt you submit for that request.

Third-Party Services

Our application does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. Smart Paste uses Cloudflare AI Gateway and a model provider to process submitted prompts and clipboard payloads. Gateway responses may be cached for up to one hour using a per-user request cache key. For users with an account, we use third-party services to manage subscriptions and transactional emails in compliance with GDPR.

Data Security

The security of local clipboard history depends on your device's security measures. Smart Paste requests are sent over HTTPS to our server-side AI endpoint. We recommend using appropriate device security features such as encryption, passwords, and biometric authentication.
